How to Save Time While Making Money Online

Every webmaster will get to the point where they will gradually realize that it takes more than one person to run an online business or website. It all starts off as a curious hobby and then questions arise. How do I get more traffic? How do I make more money? You need to get more content, you need more links, you need this, that, bla bla bla. By this time, you need to know absolutely everything! The perfect online marketer would need to know SEO, PPC, affiliate marketing awareness, membership aspects, know how to improve conversion, also coding like HTML, CSS, AJAX and so on.

My girlfriend asked me, “How do you build a website?” There’s the obvious domain and hosting but I was thinking beyond that. There is so much to do to make an online site work and function properly. Eventually that has to be a systematic approach to make your site function automatically without you spending too much time on little tweaks. The best way I know of is outsourcing. So here are some sites I visit regularly to get jobs done:

RentacoderRentacoder.com - This is a well organized site. You can pretty much get anything done. I mainly post projects for content and try to create a relationship with the better writers. They are still like your employees so you need to make sure you look after them well. There are a few excellent coders as well if you need templates done for your website. Probably another good aspect is that funds are not released to the coders yet until they complete the jobs to your satisfaction. This will avoid the chances of getting ripped off or coders running away with your money.

Scriptlance Scriptlance.com - Very similar to Rentacoder. Coders charge a little bit more here but then again, you get what you pay for. Compared to Rentacoder, the quality of work is considerably better in general.

A couple of other sites you might consider are Elance and GetaFreelancer which pretty much have the same structure. It really depends on which interface and coders you prefer in each community. Best to sign up for all of them and get a feel of how they work individually.

Digital PointDigitalPoint - This is the only forum I go to for buying links, directory submissions and template designs. There’s is a lot of feedback on various sellers. The difference here is that you deal with the seller directly and there’s no middle man so make sure you go through their background first. Check for the number of “itraders” and that should give you an idea of the sellers past business transactions.

Remember you are dealing with other people. Be flexible and understanding to get the best results possible. At the same time, you need to have some experience with whatever service you are outsourcing. For example, if you want someone to do SEO for your site, make sure you know what SEO is all about! Otherwise some coders might try to weave excuses for not giving you the right results. Be very specific with all your project outlines.
