Must-Have Social Marketing Addon for Firefox
| Posted by: Jennifer Gregory |
I was perusing my favorite blog marketing blog, the "Friday Traffic Report" by Jack Humpfrey, and his latest post turned me on to a cool social marketing Firefox addon. It’s called Socia Media for Firefox and was made by the guys at 97th Floor.
So here’s what it does…
After a quick install, you’ll see four top social marketing sites’ icons at the bottom of your browser, like this:
![]()
They’ll each have a number by them indicating the number of Diggs, Reddit, StumbleUpon, and del.ici.ous votes that page got. You can set it on Auto or Manual. When on Auto it detects the social marketing score for each page you load into your browser. Manual setting just allows you to keep it off until you click on it.
We all want to be the first to submit a page that becomes popular on any of these sites. So with this little addon, you’ll be able to see if a page is starting to gain momentum on one site like Digg and maybe has 0 Stumbles, so you can report it to StumbleUpon. This gives you a better chance of being the first to submit it, placing your social marketing identity next to the page link. And this, gets you more exposure and fans!
It will also add the icons next to Digg items, like this:

So now you won’t have to click through to the actual page, you can see at-a-glance from the Digg.com page if you can be the first to submit to the other top social marketing sites.

Jennifer,
Thanks for the mention. We love that tool. We will have new and improved version ready next week hopefully that should be adding two more sites as well as have some customization options we are excited about it.
