Three Obvious Places to Find Paid Links and Report Them!
| Posted by: Eric Cho |
Not that I am suggesting you to do this but ever since Google mentioned their new policy about devaluing paid links, it has raised many eyebrows in the SEO world. Like most other people, I think this new guideline is an absolute joke. How can they even justify a link is for advertising reasons, or clear cut manipulation of SERPs. Either way, I haven’t seen a post concerning websites that sell links or buys links. Here are three major sites that I know of:
1/ Text Link Ads - Great place to buy links but it’s so obvious webmasters come here to increase their search engine rankings.
2/ Text Link Brokers - Again, similar to text link ads, they have quality sites and charge a fortune, but why haven’t Google gone through all their sites to see who are selling and who are buying.
3/ ReviewMe - I find it incredibly silly that in their guidelines all bloggers MUST mention that their posts are paid for or sponsored by another site. This is exactly what we don’t want Google to know if they’re so serious about reporting paid links.
I’m sure this has been discussed in an SEM forum somewhere already but I haven’t seen it. I’ve only mentioned 3 big players who are selling links to help rankings. It’s so easy to just go through all the blogs and sites listed at these 3 link sellers. I really don’t understand Google’s approach here. They’ll definitely need to tweak their webmaster guidelines cause SEO people will continue to buy links and sell them. Why don’t they just ban these three site all together from their search engine?
